Our program covers all aspects of Vinyasa Yoga, including asana, pranayama, meditation, anatomy, philosophy, and teaching methodology. Our curriculum is designed to meet the high standards set by Yoga Alliance, which is the largest nonprofit organization representing the yoga community. Upon completion of our program, students will be registered with Yoga Alliance as a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT), which is a globally recognized credential that demonstrates a high level of training and expertise in the field of yoga.

Do you offer Scholarships?

At our 200 hour yoga teacher training program, we believe that yoga education should be accessible to everyone, regardless of their financial situation. That's why we offer a range of scholarships and work-trade options to support our students.

We provide a karma yoga position for each session of the program, which allows you to apply for a partial or full scholarship of 80% to 100% of the course fees. This opportunity is available to all applicants. We give preference to those who demonstrate a strong commitment to their community, single moms, veterans, and domestic abuse survivors.

In addition to the karma yoga position, we offer partial support scholarships of up to 50% of the tuition costs for students who are facing financial hardships. To apply for the partial support scholarship, please contact our admissions team.

We also provide a work-trade program that enables you to exchange your skills for a reduced course fee. The amount of support provided under this program is case-by-case, depending on the skills you can offer. If you're interested in this option, please contact our admissions team with a complete proposal.

Please note that our scholarship and work-trade options are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis. We encourage you to apply early and explore all available options to make our program accessible to you. It's important to keep in mind that students are responsible for the cost of textbooks, travel, and food during the program.

Our payment plans start at $500 per month, allowing you to budget and plan accordingly. Please note that the total cost of the program remains the same, regardless of the payment plan you choose.

What is the structure of the program and how long does it last?

Vinyasa Academy's 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training program is designed to meet Yoga Alliance standards, allowing students to become Registered Yoga Teachers (RYT®) upon completion. This prestigious credential confirms that students have gained a comprehensive understanding of safe yoga teaching, including yoga philosophy, posture, breathing, and their practical applications in daily life.

During the 15-day immersive training in Joshua Tree, California, students will receive personalized attention and direct guidance from instructors, focusing on finding their teaching voice and style. This is crucial in becoming a successful yoga teacher. The program covers three yoga traditions: Vinyasa and yin, as well as in-depth exploration of the language use in yoga classes, chakra and subtle body anatomy, physical body anatomy, pranayama, and the business of yoga.

Moreover, students will delve into yoga philosophy, ethics, and lifestyle, including a thorough examination of the yoga sutras and their significance in modern culture. After completing the in-person training, students will have an opportunity to expand their teaching skills by designing and teaching 20 yoga classes independently, which can take place at a location of their choice, such as their home, a park, or a studio. These teaching hours count for 40 hours of the training.

Upon completing the in-person training and the 20 independent classes, students will receive their certificate via email, and they may request a physical copy. The certificate confirms that they have completed all the requirements for becoming an RYT®, and they can safely teach yoga with a profound understanding of its philosophy and techniques. While it typically takes two months to a year to complete the additional hours, there is no time limit. What kind of certification will students receive upon completing the program?

Upon completing the two-week intensive portion of our yoga teacher training program in Joshua Tree, students will receive a certificate of participation. However, students who successfully complete all 200 hours of the program, including the the teaching hours, will be registered with Yoga Alliance as a 200 Hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT).

Yoga Alliance is a globally recognized organization that sets standards for yoga teacher training programs and provides a registry for certified yoga teachers. By completing our program and registering with Yoga Alliance, you will be able to demonstrate your credibility and expertise as a yoga teacher to potential employers, students, and the wider yoga community.

Secure Your Training

To secure your spot in our 200 hour yoga teacher training program in Joshua Tree, we require a non-refundable deposit of $300. This deposit is applied towards your tuition fees, and ensures that your spot is reserved for the upcoming training.

If you're unable to attend the training for any reason, you may apply your deposit towards a later training session. However, please note that the deposit is non-refundable after the 7-day window following payment.
